Media Ethics Beyond Borders: A Global Pespective, a new book co-edited by UBC Professor Stephen Ward and Professor Herman Wasserman of the University of Newcastle, U.K, will be available June 16, 2008.
The book comprises ten essays by international media ethicists on a global approach to media ethics in a global world.
It discuses such issues as whether there are universal values in media ethics, and if so, how can they do justice to the diversity of media systems and cultures around the world.
The book is the result of a media ethics roundtable held at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 2007.
Heinemann Publishers of Johannesburg will launch the book at the Cape Town Book Fair on June 16, 2008.
