Prof Hermida featured in MIT science journalism forum
By Journal Reception Barry | February 5, 2008
Prof Alfred Hermida will be presenting a paper on multimedia approaches to science journalism at the Knight 25th Anniversary Symposium: The Future of Science Journalism, to be held at MIT in Boston, February 18-20 2008. The symposium brings together key leaders in journalism, audience trends and media technology to examine the rapidly changing future of journalism.
The event marks the 25th anniversary of MIT’s effort to improve the public’s understanding of science. The Institute, founded to solve real-world problems, understood that the most urgent crises lay at the intersection of science, technology and society. And MIT recognized the essential role played by the news media in informing public discourse about those problems.
