UBC j-grad takes senior web post at Global News

UBC journalism graduate Rebecca Lindell has been appointed as the new National Senior Web Coordinator for Globalnews.ca.
It is the first digital position in the Ottawa bureau of Global News.
Lindell has been working at the Ottawa bureau, assisting the broadcast team, most notably during the election campaign.
She also contributed to the website’s election coverage, managing political pundit liveblogs and writing features.
Since graduating from UBC in 2010, Lindell worked at Post Media and the Globe and Mail.
“This hiring marks a milestone as we grow Globalnews.ca into the pre-eminent news and information digital property in the country,” said George Browne, Senior Producer, Globalnews.ca.
Lindell is the second journalism school alum to be hired by Globalnews.ca.
In April, Leslie Young (‘09) was hired as web coordinator with the site’s newly-created Specials and Interactive Unit.
