J-School intern’s radio doc on women in music featured on CBC Radio 3

UBC journalism school student Amanda Ash has been featured in a CBC Radio 3 show discussing the place of women in music.

Amanda was interning at Radio 3 in Vancouver for two weeks as part of her Masters of Journalism program.

During her time at the station, she produced a radio documentary about women in Canadian indie music.

Amanda describes herself as a music junkie, freelancing for the Vancouver Sun, the Edmonton Journal, Exclaim! Magazine, NIGHTLIFE Magazine and SPINearth.tv.

She is also a juror for the Polaris Music Prize.

She blogs about indie music at The Indie Files.

Amanda will also be interning at the Victoria Times Colonist over the summer.
