JHR launches new magazine on March 23

The Journalists for Human Rights are celebrating the launch of their first, nationally-distributed, human rights publication Speak Magazine from 4:00 to 5:00 on March 23rd in MASS (Meekison Arts Student Space) Buchanan D.  They are holding a speaker-panel on the relationship between media and human rights.  Panelists are:

Stephen Toope, President and Vice Chancellor, University of British Columbia
Peter Klein, Emmy award-winning journalist and filmmaker for CBC and 60 Minutes, Professor at the UBC School of Journalism
Darren Fleet, former Journalists for Human Rights Media Trainer in Zambia; graduate student at UBC School of Journalism

Wine and beer will be served after the panel.
