The UBC Journalism School is pleased to present, “So you want to be an investigative journalist?” – a FREE, public talk by Asper Visiting Professor and award-winning investigative report, Sandra Bartlett.
As the 2017 Asper Visiting Professor in Journalism, Bartlett brings more than 20 years of experience with CBC and NPR; and collaborative work with PBS Frontline, ProPublica, the Centre for Investigative Reporting, and the Centre for Public Integrity.
In this lunch and learning opportunity, Bartlett presents the step-by-step process of thinking through key questions for investigative reporting. Highlighting two of her high-profile stories – the big business of organ and tissue donation, and death investigations in the U.S., – Bartlett offers tools and tips for budding young journalists and anyone interested in investigative journalism.
The talk is on Tuesday, March 21st from 12:30-2:00pm at UBC Graduate School of Journalism. A light lunch will be served.
